This part of prEN 12501 deals with the assessment of the corrosion load in soil for low-alloyed and non-alloyed ferrous materials in direct contact with soil. Corrosion protection systems and their performance are not covered by this standard but by specific products standards. This part of the standard deals with the case of new structures to be buried and gives information for existing structures.
