Superseded date

Published date

12-01-2013

Specifies the procedures and acceptance limits for testing of insulation systems of stator coils for rotating electrical machines designed to operate at 3.3 kV up to and including 24 kV. The requirements of this Standard are acceptable to form wound coils of single- or multi-stack types for power station auxiliary machines and, as appropriate, to resin-rich and global vacuum pressure impregnated insulation systems. Bars (half coils) such as may be used in machines of turbine driven and hydro-generator types shall comply with ESI 44-7. Appendix A specifies the coil type tests and stator acceptance tests which shall be carried out on machines specified as having sealed windings.
