Provides information on the capability of the ultrasonic testing techniques defined in BS 4124 generally without modification, but does not give acceptance criteria as this should form part of the product specification. Intended for ferritic forgings used in the manufacture of hydro-electric turbines and generators, large pumps and fans, forged pressure parts and high temperature bolting, but excluding those forgings specifically covered by ESI Standard 98-13.
