This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies general wire ropes used for machines, lifts, construction works, ships, fishery, forestry, mining, ropeways and the like; however, not applicable to wire ropes with profile wires, wire ropes for aircraft control, wire ropes for mechanical control and wire ropes for structure.
