La présente Norme européenne spécifie une méthode d'essai pour évaluer la résistance au gel des granulats lorsqu'ils sont soumis à un cycle de gel-dégel au contact d'une solution de NaCI à 1% dans de l'eau déminéralisée ou distillée. Les résultats apportent un moyen d'évaluer la résistance du granulat à cette forme d'altération dans des zones où il se produit régulièrement des cycles de gel-dégel, en particulier dans les lieux où les embruns et le déverglaçage sont fréquents.
