Le présent document fixe les exigences de performance minimales relatives aux émetteurs, récepteurs et émetteurs-récepteurs radio des stations aéronautiques au sol fonctionnant dans la bande VHF (118 MHz - 136,975 MHz) allouée au service mobile aéronautique. Le présent document s'applique aux systèmes à modulation d'amplitude à double bande latérale, avec des espacements entre canaux de 8,33 kHz ou 25 kHz, destinés à la parole analogique et aux stations au sol ayant un espacement entre canaux de 25 kHz destinées aux communications de données ACARS. Il s'applique également aux stations de base au sol, aux stations mobiles au sol et aux radios portables pour un usage au sol.
