Cette partie de l'EN 840 prescrit les méthodes d'essais pour conteneurs roulants à déchets conformes aux EN 840-1 à EN 840-4. Elle indique aussi le niveau des exigences à atteindre lors des essais ou après essais. Le présente Norme européenne s'applique aux conteneurs roulants à déchets de capacité inférieure ou égale à 1 700 l.
