Il existe de nombreuses méthodes pour mesurer l'activité volumique du radon 222 dans l'eau. Le présent document concerne uniquement les méthodes de mesure du radon 222 dans l'eau basées sur le transfert du radon de la phase aqueuse dans la phase air par dégazage. Il donne des indications pour mesurer ponctuellement, à l'échelle de quelques minutes, l'activité volumique du radon 222 dans tout échantillon d'eau (eau superficielle, eau profonde, eau de distribution, etc.). Ces méthodes peuvent s'appliquer sur le terrain et en laboratoire.
