Diese Norm legt die Anforderungen für sämtliche Arten von Palettenregalen mit verstellbaren Trägern fest, welche aus Stahlelementen hergestellt und zur Lagerung von Lasteinheiten vorgesehen und vorwiegend statischen Lasten ausgesetzt sind. Sowohl Systeme mit als auch ohne Aussteifungsverbände sind berücksichtigt. Diese Norm gilt nicht für andere Arten von Lagereinrichtungen, namentlich nicht für Verschieberegalsysteme, Einfahr- und Durchfahrregale, Kragarmregale und Fachbodenregale aus Stahl.
