Describes technical requirements under section 22 of the Telecommunications Act 1984 for terminal equipment for connection to analogue interfaces of the public switched telephone network using direct dialling in signalling. Aligned with Articles 4(c) to 4(f) of Directive 91/263/EEC. Does not include essential requirements for terminal-to-terminal interworking via the public network.
