    Specifies a format and modulation method for a digital code to be recorded on a longitudinal track of video and audio magnetic tape recorders to be used for timing and control purposes; the digital format to be inserted into the television signal vertical interval in video tape recorders; and location of the code within the television baseband signal, its relationship to other components of the television signal and to the longitudinal track code.
