La specifica tecnica descrive un metodo per determinare nei biocombustibili solidi il contenuto di cloro, sodio e potassio solubili in acqua. Il metodo si basa sull'estrazione dei suddetti elementi con acqua in un recipiente chiuso e successiva quantificazione con differenti tecniche analitiche. Il metodo è applicabile a tutti i biocombustibili solidi aventi un contenuto di cloro solubile in acqua maggiore di 50 mg/kg ed un contenuto di sodio e potassio solubili in acqua maggiore di 10 mg/kg.
