Defines a procedure for determining the dissolved cations Li+, Na+, NH4+, K+, Mn2+, Ca2+, Mg2+, Sr2+ and Ba2+ in water. (ie. drinking, surface and waste water). Pretreatment of the sample and the application of a conductivity detector (CD) make the ranges shown in Table 1 possible. Applicability of the procedure for waste water samples should be proven in each case.
