A Withdrawn Standard is one, which is removed from sale, and its unique number can no longer be used. The Standard can be withdrawn and not replaced, or it can be withdrawn and replaced by a Standard with a different number.

Sostituisce UNI 7291 a UNI 7303. Prescrive le funi di acciaio per impieghi generali di più comune utilizzo. Esse sono raggruppate per numero di trefoli e per numero di fili esterni nei trefoli. Non sono coperte da questa norma le funi per miniera, per comandi aeronautici, per equipaggiamenti di perforazione profonda, per funivie, per ascensori, per cemento armato, per pesca.
