Applies only to specific lifts for which a building authority having jurisdiction stipulates the provision of facilities for persons with disabilities, but does not apply to lifts in a sole-occupancy private dwelling.

This Standard sets out requirements for facilities in passenger lifts which are specifically designed to assist persons with disabilities. It is complementary to AS 1428.1, AS 1735.2 and AS 1735.3.
