Provides procedures and requirements for the segregation and storage of chemicals held in stores associated with laboratories.

This Standard sets out the requirements for the safe keeping of chemicals in packages (see Clause 1.4.20) in laboratories-(a) when in use inside a laboratory compartment;(b) stored, when not in use, inside a laboratory compartment;(c) stored in dedicated storerooms or spaces which are support areas to the laboratory; and(d) when opening packages.
