Sets out the information to be recorded when carrying out distribution field trials. Applicable to distribution systems in which the hazards of stacking, vertical impact, horizontal impact, and vibration are encountered or are likely to be encountered. Technically identical with ISO 4178.

This standard specifies the information to be recorded when carrying out distribution field trials involving complete, filled transport packages. It is applicable to distribution systems in which the hazards of stacking, vertical impact, horizontal impact, and vibration are encountered or are likely to be encountered.NOTE: For the distribution tri als of packages containing dangerous goods the relevant regulations for the transport of dangerous goods by road, rail, sea and air must be followed, i.e.-Australian Code for Transport of Dangerous Goods by Road and Rail International Air Transport Association's Restricted Articles Regulations International Maritime Dangerous Goods Code.
