Specifies a method for assessing the resistance of a building element to forcible attack and awarding a rating based on the time taken to create an access hole in the element. Six different levels of attack are specified according to the number of attackers and the equipment used in the attack.

This Standard sets out a method for assessing the resistance of a building element to forcible attack.The resistance to attack is assessed by categorizing the type of attack and rating the time taken to breach the building element.NOTE: Resistance to attack by firearms is specified in AS 2343.
