This Standard specifies requirements for fire blankets intended for use by one person and the material used for the manufacture of such fire blankets. This Standard does not include requirements for blankets or sheets intended to be used in any of the following applications:(a) As a protection against radiant heat.(b) As a protection against sparks and hot material, e.g. when welding or oxy-cutting.(c) As curtains used for optical protection.
