Specifies requirements for a single pack bright aluminium finish paint intended to protect iron and steel against corrosion.

This Standard specifies requirements for a single pack bright aluminium finish paint intended to protect iron and steel against corrosion. It may be suitable for application by brush, roller or spray. This paint will provide heat reflectance and medium-term protection from corrosion to suitably primed steelwork located in an industrial atmospheric environment.NOTES:1 Appendix A contains recommendations and advice on information that should be provided by the purchaser at the time of enquiry or order.2 Care should be taken that aluminium paint is not used in an acidic or caustic environment. Additional information on the use and application of aluminium paint is provided in Appendix B.3 Alternative methods for determining compliance with this Standard are contained in Appendix C.
