Provides requirements for waterborne paints used for line marking materials for bituminous and concrete road surfaces.

This Standard sets out requirements for waterborne paints as used for line markings on bituminous and concrete road surfaces. The Standard is applicable to paints intended for use by spray application (see Note 1). It is also applicable to slower drying paints (see Clause 4) applied by brush or roller. All paints are suitable for use with drop-on beads complying with AS 2009.NOTES:1 Spraying may be by air-atomizing or airless application processes at normal or elevated temperatures.2 Alternative means for determining compliance with this Standard are given in Appendix A.3 Additional information on the use and application of waterborne road marking paint is contained in Appendix B.
