CONTAINED IN VOL. 11.05, 2009 Specifies procedure for the assessment and evaluation of toxic characteristics of a test substance applied daily to the skin of experimental animals for 90 days. It cannot determine effects with a long latency period (e.g. carcinogenicity) or are life shortening. It is (primarily) intended to be used with (guinea pigs) rats of rabbits.
