Describes the safety requirements for compaction machines and deals with all significant hazards, hazardous situations and events relevant to compaction machines, when they are used as intended and under conditions of misuse, which are reasonably foreseeable.

This part of EN 500 is not applicable for seated ride-on operated rollers with a drum width less than nominal 0,8 m.
