Gives methods for measurement of the sound pressure levels on a measuring surface enveloping a source, for calculation of the sound power level produced by the source. States requirements for test environment and instrumentation in addition to techniques to obtain surface sound pressure in order to calculate the A-weighted sound power level of the source and octave or one-third octave band sound power levels. Also suitable for performance of acceptance tests.
