Describes: 1. requirements for certification of conformity for model lifts, lift (elevator) systems, lift components or lift functions by global conformity assessment bodies (GCAB), 2. related responsibilities of GCABs, and 3. requirements for accreditation of GCABs, and guidance and clarification to ISO/IEC Guide 65.

This part of ISO/TS22559 specifies requirements for certification of conformity for model lifts, lift (elevator) systems, lift components or lift functions by global conformity assessment bodies (GCAB) (see Clause4), NOTE Hereinafter in this part of ISO/TS22559, the term “lift?? is used instead of the term “elevator??. The term “lift system?? is also used to describe a “lift??. related responsibilities of GCABs (see Clause4), and requirements for accreditation of GCABs, and guidance and clarification to ISO/IEC Guide65 (see Clause5 and Clause6 which pertain to the certification of lifts, lift components and lift functions).
