This standard is included in DIN Handbook 405. Applies to general purpose welded circular tubes and pipes tubes) made from stainless steels. The tubes can be used as construction tubing, pipes for pharmaceutical, food and automobile industries also domestic installation and decorative purposes. Tubes conforming to the Standard are intended for use on 80% utilization of permissible design stress in the weld. The Standard does not apply to welded circular austenitic stainless steel that are subject to special requirements.
