Diese Norm gilt für das Zeichen "Ionisierende Strahlung" (Registrier-Nr 2036 nach DIN 30600), das zur Kennzeichnung von Orten und Gegenständen, an denen oder in deren Umgebung mit dem Auftreten ionisierender Strahlung zu rechnen ist, dient. Dieses Zeichen ist auch Bestandteil von Warnschildern nach DIN 25 430. Anmerkung 1: Für die Anwendung des Zeichens "Ionisierende Strahlung" gibt es geltende gesetzliche Vorschriften, z. B. StrlSchV, RöV und Gefahrgutverordnung Strasse (GGVS). Anmerkung 2: Sicherheitszeichen siehe DIN 4844 Teil 1.
