Diese Norm gilt für Steckverbinder für gedruckte Schaltungen (Feder- und Stiftleisten). Die Kontaktabstände der Stift- und Federleisten, wie auch die Anschlüsse sind im Rastermass 2,5 mm angeordnet. Die Steckverbinder nach dieser Norm müssen die Festlegungen nach DIN 41617 Teil 2 erfüllen.
