Die Prüfregeln gelten für die heiztechnische Prüfung von Heizkesseln (im folgenden Kessel genannt) für den Betrieb mit und ohne Abgaskondensation, für Heizkessel, welche die Bedingungen für schnelle Regelbarkeit nach DIN 4751 Teil 2 erfüllen und für die Kombination Kessel/Wassererwärmer, für die in der Normenreihe DIN 4702 Anforderungen festgelegt sind. Die Regeln enthalten Bestimmungen und Empfehlungen für die Durchführung und Auswertung der Versuche zur Prüfung der Kessel sowie Angaben über die technischen Bedingungen, unter denen die Versuche stattfinden müssen.
