The purpose of this test is to ascertain whether organic floor coverings exposed to the chemico-physical effect of test agents for a stress duration of up to 24 hours show surface changes, e.g. change in colour, loss of sheen, signs of swelling, softening and decomposition, and whether any changes that may have occurred are still discernible 24 hours after the test agent has been removed.
