Applies to synthetic organic ion exchangers and polymer adsorption resins which are used in aqueous media. Specifies the conditions for treating a specified quantity of iron exchange resin or polymer absorption resin with water in a specified recycling apparatus. The recycled water obtained is used for further analyses, and in particular, for verifying whether the requirements specified in Empfehlung (Recommendation XXIV issued by the Bundesgesundheitsamt (German Federal Health Board) [1] are complied with.
