Diese Norm gilt für bestimmte Positionsschalter mit selbsttätig rückstellenden Betätigungsorganen für industrielle Anwendung, deren Normabmessungen und für die Anwendung erforderliche Kennwerte im folgenden angegeben sind. Eine grössere Baugrösse (42,5 x 80) ist festgelegt in EN 50041. Die elektrischen Werte müssen der IEC-Publikation 337 "Hilfsstromschalter" entsprechen. Diese Norm berücksichtigt die folgenden 4 Arten: - mit Schwenkhebel (Form A), - mit gerundetem Kuppenstössel (Form B), - mit Rollenstössel (Form C), - mit Rollenhebel (Form E). Die Geräte sind entweder mit Sprungfunktion, in Abschnitt 3 mit (1) bezeichnet, oder mit Schleichfunktion, in Abschnitt 3 mit (2) bezeichnet, ausgeführt.
