Diese Norm gilt für alle Arten von passiven Dosimetriesystemen, die für die Messung der Tiefen- und Oberflächen-Personendosis Hp (10) und Hp (0,07) oder der Umgebungs-Äquivalentdosis H* (10) von Photonen- oder Betastrahlung verwendet werden (Energiebereiche für Photonenstrahlung 12 keV bis 7 MeV für Hp (10) und H* (10) und 8 keV bis 250 keV für Hp (0,07) bzw. für Betastrahlung Emax = 225 keV bis 3,54 MeV für Hp (0,07)). Sie legt Anforderungen und Prüfverfahren für vollständige Dosimetriesysteme einschliesslich Detektor, Dosimeter, Auswertegerät und zusätzlichen Geräten fest.
