Proposes procedures and requirements for the installation, commissinoing and operation of cathodic protection systems designed to protect steel reinforcement in concrete structures from corrosion. Applies to both new and existing structures that are atmospherically-exposed, buried or submerged and containing normal or prestressed reinforcement embedded in the concrete. Appendices give information on the principles of cathodic protection, the design proces and anode systems.
