Proposes the adoption of ISO 9712:1999 to provide minimum requirements for the training, qualification, and certification of non-destructive testing personnel employed in Australian industry. Applies to the qualification of personnel who perform eddy current, penetrant, magnetic particle, radiographic and ultrasonic non-destructive testing (NDT) methods. Copies of ISO 9712 may be purchased from or viewed at any Standards Australia office.
