Proposes the adoption of ISO 185:1988 as an Australian Standard. ISO 185 establishes a classification for grey cast iron. The classification comprises six grades based on the tensile properties of test pieces machined from separately cast test samples. Copies of ISO 185 may be purchased from or viewed at Standards Australia offices.
