Proposes the adoption of IEC60898-2:2003 as a joint Australian/New Zealand Standard. Contains essential safety and associated requirements for single-pole and two-pole circuit-breakers which are suitable for operation with divert current and have a rated d.c. voltage not exceeding 220V for single-pole and 440V for two-pole circuit-breakers, a rated current not exceeding 125A and a rated d.c. short-circuit capacity not exceeding 10000A. This draft Standard is intended for use in conjunction with IEC60898-1 (which has been prepared as a revision of AS/NZS4989:1997). AnnexZZ lists variations for Australian and New Zealand conditions.
