Proposes requirements for the design of modules which are used as tactile ground surface indicators to assist people with vision impairment. Specific types of ground surface indicator modules warning of hazards and denoting direction are proposed, together with road rivets for use at pedestrian crossings. Installation requirements for the modules and rivets at strategic pedestrian sites are also included.
