Proposes requirements for elevating work platforms as defined in AS 2549, Cranes - Glossary of terms. Does not apply to passenger goods lifts, builders hoists or fixed elevating work platforms or any matters relating to the vehicles upon which aerial devices are mounted, except to a vehicle being, while stationary, a stable support for the aerial device. Appendices provide guidance on the alternative methods for determining compliance with the proposed Standard, typical elevating work platforms, baskets, platforms, outriggers, stabilizers and extendable axles and noise levels.
