Proposes requirements for premoulded plastic swimming pools exceeding 7500 L in volume and 750 mm in depth, constructed from fibre-reinforced plastics based on thermosetting resin systems. This proposed Standard covers materials, design and performance requirements. It emphasizes the need to take the loadings applied by the soils into account in the design of the pool shell. Minimum design characteristics applicable to sand and other soils are also given. Revised tests for gel coating and determination of the resin and glass fibre content of the pool are provided. Proposed as a Joint Australian/New Zealand Standard.
