Proposes additional information to specific clauses in AS/NZS 2566.1 for design engineers and those writing specifications on the design and installation of buried flexible pipes. Emphasis is placed on the need for field compaction of the embedment consistent with the assumptions on which the design equations are based. Appendix B will include worked examples which illustrate the load calculations and how these values are used to select an appropriate pipe material and class of pipe for a particular installation. Proposed as a Joint Australian/New Zealand Supplement to AS/NZS 2566.1.
