Proposes minimum loads and requirements for strength, serviceability and durability to be used in the structural design or assessment of individual poles supporting one or more utility services such as street lighting. Covers poles constructed of timber, steel and concrete, with provisions for other materials of construction, and allows design by calculation or by prototype testing. Intended as a structural design reference for Standards specifications for poles constructed from a particular material. Proposed as a Joint Australian/New Zealand Standard.
