Proposes technical requirements for road tankers transporting dangerous goods for designers, planners, operators and regulators. Proposes an angle of stability of 64 degrees Celsius for the specified vehicles. It also proposes to rationalize the differing strength requirements for rear bumpers. Proposals are also made to remove the requirements for safety chains for trailers as they are considered dangerous in conjunction with automatic brakes. These automatic brakes being proposed as mandatory for trailers.
