Proposes strength and durability requirements for chairs of fixed height and either fixed or swivel bases, in order to provide purchasing authorities, specifiers, users, retailers and manufacturers with a uniform set of performance requirements that can form the basis of selection and evaluation criteria. The proposed Standard is identical with and reproduced from ISO 7174-2:1992. Copies of ISO 7174-2 may be purchased from or viewed at any Standards Australia office or Standards New Zealand. Proposed as a Joint Australian/New Zealand Standard.
