Proposes an introduction to the concepts and principles that can lead to a fundamental understanding of quality management systems and the ISO 9000 series of standards. It also provides a quality-related vocabulary. This draft is identical with the second committee Draft issued by ISO/TC 176, the International Organization of Standardization Technical Committee on Quality Management and Quality Assurance, and prepared by the Working group (ISO/TC 176/SC 1/WG 1) under that committee. All comments must be submitted by e-mail, using the correct template for each draft, due to the volume of comment anticipated. The templates and instructions can be downloaded from the Standards Australia Website at http://www.saiglobal.com/shop Electronic copies of the draft can be purchased via the Standards Australia website and will include the appropriate template(s) and instructions. Normal printed copies can be ordered via the website, or by phone (131 242), fax (1300 654 949), or mail from Standards Australia offices.
