Guide to the investigation of potentially contaminated soil and deposited dust for soil as a source of lead available to humans
Superseded date

05-24-2018

Published date

04-30-1999

Proposes a procedure for the collection of soil and deposited dust samples to ascertain whether inorganic lead is present in sufficient quantities to cause toxicity in humans. Because infants constitute the most sensitive group as regards sublethal lead toxicity, special emphasis is placed upon collection of samples from areas with which this population group would come into contact.
