This draft standard includes the following aspects of the relationship between IP networks and telecommunication networks, access to IP networks using telecommunication facilities, interworking between IP networks and telecommunication networks and transport mechanisms for IP networks. The following aspects, which are within the scope of the ITU-T work, are not included, application interworking, the integrated use of signalling in IP as well as traditional networks, analysis of future IP protocols and access techniques for telecommunication networks.
