Gives a general laboratory test method to determine the area specific emission rate of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) from newly produced building products under defined climate conditions. Applicable in principle to aged products. The data that is obtained can be used to calculate concentrations in a model room. Applies to various emission test chambers which are used for determining the emission of volatile organic compounds from building products.
