Describes requirements for signalling system and procedures needed at the application level in order to fulfil these signalling needs. Included within clauses 1 to 4 - terminology, mobile network configuration and other protocols required by MAP. Clauses 5 to 10 include the MAP services. Clause 11-14 define the MAP protocol specification and the behaviour of service provider. Clauses 15 - 21 describe the MAP user procedures which make use of MA services.
