CCS NODE GENERIC REQUIREMENTS TO SUPPORT ROUTING VERIFICATION TESTS
01-12-2013
Outlines generic requirements and objectives for Common Channel Signalling (CCS) network nodes. A CCS node is a network element or network system connected to the CCS network via Signalling System Number 7 (SS7) links supporting Message Transfer Part (MTP) Routing Verification Tests (MRVT) and Signaling Connection Control Part (SCCP) Routing Certification Tests (SRVT). These tests are a powerful tool for the detection and isolation of routing problems in CCS networks. They may be used for both intranetwork and internetwork testing.
